Merry Christmas

Dear Santa,
I would like a Bumble Bee transformer, some toys for Sydney, car for Sydney. More transformers, truck that transforms. I like all the Reindeers and all the Elf's at the North Pole! I think I am going to leave you some cookies on Christmas Eve.

Dear Santa, (letter #2)
Do not send Rudolph with his nose so bright to not wake me up.
Love, Kyle

We want to wish you all a wonderful Merry Christmas! We are so grateful for the birth of Our Savior, His spectacular life, and for His Atonement. We are so blessed!
Merry Christmas

Shreek - Boutique

I am so sad - I busted my buns to get the trees ready for the boutique this past week, and never had a minute to take a good picture of them. They really turned out darling, I think I will sneak on down to my neighbor who has a set of them and will take several more pics. I ended up making a set with different fabric that also turned out great! I was so excited to finally get that project out of my hair! If any one is interested, I think that I still have a set to sell, or I can also give you instruction on how to make them yourselves, they are so fun! There were so many cute things at the show, I wish you could have seen...

Quick catch up

Tis the season to be busy, as a result I am slacking with my blogging (and other things)!
This past weekend Justin and I took the kids (my dad included) up North for an outing! We met Justin's parents there as well. We had a wonderful day at Thanksgiving Point - We of course went to the Dino museum, toured The Farm where Kyle had is first pony ride, and went to see a Movie! Then all the adults went to Glen Beck's Christmas show (which Justin has been waiting all year for - literally). We had a blast, and enjoyed our little mini vacation! Sydney at it again... I love my Mr. Clean sponge

Fun idea: My neighbor is a mini book genius. She gave me the idea, and I made this darling Thanksgiving book. The idea is to showcase how everyone pitched in to make Thanksgiving Dinner, and for them to write their thoughts about what they are grateful for this year!

When I complete the book I will have a pic of each family member in the empty space below their name. I took a darling picture of my Grandmother holding her famous Pecan Pie. Can't wait to see it all done.

Santa Sucks

Wow - I know can't believe that I dissed on the {jolly old man} who brings all sorts of goodies to the little yahoo's who have been "good" all year long... But it's true! The Santa at our house stinks! I hate to admit this but last year Santa put off "making" the toys until it was too late and the mail man didn't deliver poor Kyle's toys until after Christmas. This year "he" is trying to be better, but we woke up to late on this blasted "black friday" and missed the deal on a Leapster at Walmart. Then for "cyber monday" "Santa" decided on a Dance Cam by Playskool {the name of one section of Santa's factory - located down the hallway from Fisher Price} So of course "he" being the procrastinator that he is didn't make it fast enough, and now the price has gone up. Santa has a budget of $50, so if anyone has any brilliant ideas for a 4-year old boy, please let "him" know - for how sad would it be if he went another year without Christmas...

Always a project

For super saturday, several of us made nativity pillows. I think that they are the cutest idea, and are a great way to help the little ones learn the Christmas story! They are so fun to make, and well worth all the time!
So here is my latest project... Ah ya, this one has a story! Several years ago I made a whole bunch of rag christmas trees. They are adorable and I gave them all away, but never kept a set for myself. This year I decided to make some more... Ya, well the last time I made them I bought the fabric from Walmart (the $2 bin fabric). This year their selection stinks, so I went to Ace Hardware... They had a great selection, and they had a sale. 30% off -wahoo right? Well I got four yards of each and I didn't do the math... I go to the register and $72 later I was peeing my pants. You heard it - 12 yrds = $ 72. So guess what!!!!!! I am now selling the trees at a boutique show in two weeks to pay for the fabric - so my husband doesn't kill me! The fabric is super cute, and I can't wait to see how gorgeous the trees are. I'll post a picture when I am done! Truth be told I have always wanted to put some stuff in a boutique, I just never thought I would be forced into doing so!!

Ode to Nicole

Here are the results of a super fun photo shoot, the most fantastic location, and an amazing photographer. We love our Nicole, and will miss her dearly when she moves tomorrow. Her are some things you need to know... She lives two houses away, she has been our beloved photographer for three years, she is super good at everything, and she is my friend. We'll miss you!
Nicole found this location just South of Parowan. The house was falling apart, and it was so fabulous. It had this super cool truck out in the back. If it wasn't the size of truck - I would have stolen and put it in my back yard... The color rocks - Funny thing is that I'm in the middle of painting my new kitchen table that color. It was so perfect!

Do I look like I am going to eat him? I think I do, but I still like it.

Sydney's latest and greatest

After dinner, I took off Syd's shirt and she ran... this is how I found her! Is there a girl in there?
The day has arrived! Love - Love - Love!
Mommy's Picaso... She found side walk chalk and made a masterpiece.

Toe

I never thought I would blog about my toes, but here it goes. I dropped a 40lb bx of frozen chicken on my toes... OUCH! The middle one took the brunt. Special thanks go out to Justin for carrying me to our neighbors house. Special thanks to Sharina who watched my kids for 3 hrs, fed them, let me sit on her couch for 3 hrs, and who also entertained me. Special thanks also to Mat who doctored me, cleaned my blood out of his carpet, and also attempted to get me down the street by pushing me in a stroller! Sorry about the poorly manicured toes, I didn't think they would be debuing on my blog anytime soon!

Have you seen Jillie Willie? The most darling website to add some pizzazz to those ever so boring daily tasks.

I could clean in these.

Could you?

Mop slippers. Why didn't I think of that?

I saw these darling tutu's on Good Things Utah, and decided that Sydney had to have one. It was super simple to make and Sydney looks "tu" cute!My friend Caitlin made my little pirate his shirt and vest. ARghh -good mate'...
The police officer takes on the pirate - my bet is on the pirate!Truth be told Sydney had a royal tantrum when the tutu went on, the only way I could get her to keep it on was by giving her candy. So I decided not to fight her wearing the hat. What a witch!!!It was so cute...While Trick-or-Treating Sydney decided that she needed a candy break and just plopped right down in the middle of the street. Note the stinking cute tights!
Never mind that fact that she was rumaging through Kyle's stash... and then left him to pick it up when she was done.
Rejuvenated and ready to go!
After pillaging for candy we went to Hurricane for my brothers Halloween party! What a bunch of Hippies. Good times great oldies!

As of Late

I tend baby Taylee every now and then,
and Sydney thinks it's her sole responsibilty to mother
and entertain her. Luckily I have two bouncy seats!
It puts it into perspective, how not-so little Sydney is anymore.
Where is my baby? We went to a carnival the other day.
Sydney and Kyle's costumes weren't finished yet ,
so I put sydney in her back-up Tinker Bell costume...And borrowed this pirate costume from a friend...
aren't they cute!

Tuesday night we carved pumpkins - oh how crafty these boys areSydney and Ruby were so yucky... Thanks Krista for bathing them!
Oh So Spooky!

Quarter of a Century

Well, twenty-five is here, and I can't say that I'm thrilled. I know for all of you whom are older and wiser that are reading this are probably not feeling very sorry for me, or are really depressed by me thinking that I am old, because that would make you really old! All I am saying is that I am five away from thirty, and that is freaky! If any of you know my dad, and know how he suffers from denial about his age - by wearing a toupe, and not wearing hearing aids - will understand where all this is coming from! I just pray that these next five years will be kind to me so that I can accept 30 gracefully. I don't think that a toupe will be very becoming on me, nor can I afford a Jazzy chair. So if you have a glass of milk near by, raise it and toast to my next five years! Thanks to all of my dear friends who have so gracefully paved the path of thirty before me, and have shown me that there is life in the upper twenties. Thanks for showing me that you can still be sexy at thirty!

Preschool Moments

Today Kyle had a very exciting adventure!
Destination: Pumpkin Patch
He went on his very first field trip, and as if it could
get any better, they road on a bus to get there!
For as long as I can remember Kyle has begged to go on school bus.
So as one can imagine, both Kyle and I were super stoked!
Here is the proof that I was one crazy mom...
Crazy with excitement for HIM!
I bet he would look happier, if his "crazy mom" would
get the camera outta his face!Yes, I was there with my camera waiting for the bus to arrive
In my defense, I wasn't the only camera happy mom standing there

They each picked out one pumpkin that they brought home!
Tell me his isn't cute- I dare you!
Standing in the truck with all the pumpkins
On the road again...Let's go eat at the park!

Colorado City, Here She Comes

My friend Krista and I are dressing up as Polygamists
this Halloween, so we had a practice session to
figure out the famous bang swoop!
This month for Bunco we dressed-up,
and one of the girls was a polygamist...
it was histarical, and she played the part so well!
We decided to copy her... Thank Kim for the fun idea!
We'll keep ya posted on the look, it should be good... Sorry Krista for posting these, but I couldn't resist!
You are one hot momma!

Pumpkin Traditions

Every Fall finds us at the Pumpkin Patch!
Dad and Sydney are so cuddly...Kyle is determined to find the best pumpkin-
You're my PUMPKIN! I stole the idea of stacking pumpkins in a planter,
It is such a cute idea, and now my tradition
is to find the biggest roundest pumkin ever!
This one I had to rig, but you'd never know
I used cans of pinapple to prop the one side...shhhhhh!

By no means am I a photographer,
but I thought that it was a cool pic!

Happy on the hunt!
