Boy friend?

While running errands today.

Kyle: Mom, do you have a boy friend?
Mom: Yes.
Kyle: Who is it?
Mom: Daddy.
Kyle: Do you have another boy friend?
Mom: No! Mommy only loves daddy, I only love one guy, and he is my husband, Daddy.
Kyle: But you don't have another boy friend?
Mom: No, your supposed to have only person you love. That would be bad if you liked someone else.
{Silence}
Mom {inside her head): Where the heck did that come from?

I wonder when He comes again?

Driving home from school today.

Kyle: Mom, when is Jesus coming?
Mom: I don't know, nobody knows. I can't wait to see him though, it will be so neat. What do you think he will do when he comes?
{Silence}
Mom: I bet he will give you a big hug.
{Silence}
Kyle: Where will he live on this earth?
Mom: Uh. Maybe in a temple? Uh, Good question!

I love my little thought-provoking Kyle!

The kids have been wanting a pet. On Valentine's Day I broke down, and we are now owners of four fish! Never mind that we are already on our second batch of fish. How many days has it been? See why I never wanted a pet? Thank goodness fish are so despensable.

Pookie Wookie

When we were first married, I was sure that Justin needed a pet name. My dad always called me his "Punkie Lunkie". So I decided I would call Justin my "Pookie Wookie"! Ah ya, needless to say he wasn't a fan. It's been a long time since he has heard that endearment, so I thought that for this V-DAY I would give a shout-out to my POOKIE WOOKIE! I love you so much - thanks for taking me on a ride-along tonight, other than having to pee for 2 hrs it was fun. Love you

pics and projects

I had the best of intentions to post Sydney's bumps and bruises before now. Thanks for all phone calls, pizza {Megan}, and concern! It really wasn't to bad, thanks to her Guardian Angel. She was hit on the left side of her body, as you can see. Thankfullly her leg wasn't hurt, which was my main concern, hence the ER visit. Oh the joys! Wondering what I have been doing lately?Wiping this nose every 30 seconds... No literally! I have never seen Kyle so sick - ever. This picture does not even do it justice. He slept all but two hours of the day yesterday. It was so sad, however, today he finally took a turn for the better! Poor little guy...Finally!
A place to eat again. My kitchen does not ever get sunlight {something that will be a priority in my next house} I painted the table a super bright yellow, which I love! I am keeping my chairs black, but I am going to install white beadboard on the bottom half of my walls in the kitchen. It will brighten the kitchen even more, making me even happier! I still need to make place mats for the table, and to find some sort of table decor....always a work in progress!
Sydney's bench painted with the same yellow!
Sydney's room is my favorite of the whole house. I took some pictures of it so you could see how the bench fits in. Gotta love those random finds! The green on the wall is an "oops" paint Justin brought home from Home Depot one day. I loved it and knew it had to be in her room.

weird week

Last week was a little crazy. Here are some reasons:

1. Sydney was hit by a car {more side swiped, but either way she ended up in the emergency room.}

2. On a whim Justin and I bought tickets to the Hinder concert in St. George. Did you go? What a waste of money. I just can't stop thinking about all the things I could have done with the cash instead... new running shoes, curtains for our bedroom, brown boots, bought tons and tons of fabric, bullets for Justin {because that would make his day}, Sydney a dresser....

3. The kids caught one heck of a bug. {goopy eyes, nasty noses, fevers, coughing} Have you had it yet? I thought we were outta the woods, we almost went all winter without incident.

On the up side! I have been a busy little bee finishing projects. I plan to reveal at least one of my projects tomorrow!

Thrift Junkie and Bla Bla Bla

You could sale my house at a Yard Sale! Or maybe my neighbors think I am having a yard Sale. Since I last made my confession I have been bustin' out the paint. Good news: I finished painting the kitchen table, and it's now in use! Well that is of cousrse until today, when I decided that I need to repaint the table top from white to yellow. I forgot to take into consideration that my plates are whilte. It will be soooo cute when it's fixed however. I can't wait to reveal the final product. Anyways, on Friday I brought home the wing back chair, then pulled the table out and have been painting it. Saturday Justin saw a chair at a Yard Sale, so I ran down to check it out. It was sold by the time I got there, but don't worry instead I bought a bench (can't wait for that reveal!) AND while I was there I spoke to the Misses about my table redue, and she said that she had chairs at home that she would be willing to sell! So I brought those bad boys home. A table, 6 chairs, a bench, and a wingback chair all in my front yard throughout the weekend. They must wonder if I am insane!
{Disclaimer: My Camera is broken! The shutters won't open all the way...is that what they are called? Obviously not a photographer! Can't wait for Justin to finally realize that I really really do need a new camera}
In honor of the Super Bowl - that I really only watch for the commercials...OOPS!
Did I say that out loud!
I LOVE MY BATTER BOWL

Getting ready for Valentine's Day? This little pillow just puts me in the mood!
