10 K Fun Run

It was amazing! My first run ever, but for sure not my last. Justin and I ran in the Zion Fun Run this Saturday, with Justin's mom, sister, a bunch of my friends, and his co-workers! If you know Justin at all you know that he is great runner, aka "the jack rabbit." I was sure that he would leave me in the dust but he didn't. He stuck with me the whole race, and we enjoyed the scenic views together. It was gorgeous as one can imagine. Funny story though, There were roughly 300 of us runners that were all shuttled up to beginning of the race. There were 4 port-a-potties, however. Just to be sure, I thought I should go. So I stood in line forever, they started the race, just as it was my turn in line (after 20 + min). I decided I would go ahead and run, so I started late - which stunk. However, we still passed a lot of people and came in at 65 min. Before the race, I was just hoping to finish the run 11/2hrs, however during the run I realized that I could make it in 1 hr. I was 5 minutes over, but I am still so happy! I couldn't have done so well without Justin. He really is my BF!{Above pic. So although I do have pooch just for the record, I had a pm3 player and apple in my pocket. Just thought I would clear that up and give my self the benefit of the doubt!!}

Did you wake up this morning and read the local paper while drinking your morning hot chocolate! I love how Braun took the story to the newspaper and it made the top headline! Who knew this guy was so hungry for attention. Luckily the article was well written! I really truly do find this all really funny and entertaining...I love reading all the comments on You Tube. Who knew there were so many idiots in Cedar, as well as the kinder and smarter people! If you weren't entreated this morning you can read it here! CEDAR CITY - The Cedar City Police Department is investigating a complaint filed in late November by a local man with video of being allegedly stunned with a Taser twice by police.

Travis Braun, 32, said on Nov. 20, CCPD officers used the Taser on him after he went into a seizure. An officer had pulled him over for not yielding before pulling out of the liquor store, according to the police report.

The police report said Braun failed the sobriety test and blew an alcohol content level of 0.014.

According to the police report, two officers moved Braun onto the grass on the side of the road after he went into a seizure and tried to calm him down, but he began kicking and hitting them.

Braun said he was purposely moved out of view from the camera on the police car dashboard, the video of which he collected and has since put up on YouTube.

Police stated that Braun tried to resist and was told a Taser would be used on him if he continued resisting.

After being stunned, Braun was transported to Valley View Medical Center.

After being treated, he was taken to Iron County Jail. Braun said a barb from the Taser was still lodged in his back when he got to the jail.

Police Chief Bob Allinson said CCPD started looking into it and tried to address his concerns.

In the meantime, Braun got a copy of his police report and the video and then filed an additional complaint Dec. 22 after he watched the video and came to the conclusion that the officers were being unprofessional with him, Allinson said.

When Braun revealed the videos, he said the officers called him names and talked among each other, one saying Braun was fighting back and the other disagreeing.

"We had a complaint made against our department and allegations that we're looking into, and in the meantime, the complainant has been given all the reports and the video of the incident and he has chosen to put it on YouTube," Allinson said.

"Just because he has chosen to do that does not change our investigation and we are looking into the matter to see if any policy violations and procedures problems occurred and we'll take the appropriate action."

Braun has been charged with driving under the influence of marijuana, driving with no insurance, failing to stop when entering a roadway, assault against an officer and marijuana possession.

Braun told police he has been on parole several times as well, according to the police report.

go private is because of this post... So here it goes.
Justin made it on You Tube! Thanks to stupid criminals. A while ago Justin stopped a guy and gave him the breath-alizer test to see if he was drunk. He passed. BUT he was on drugs... So while they are standing there the guy has a seizure. They have no idea if he was faking it or not - they have some medical training, but they ARE NOT doctors, so they really had no idea how to determine if the whole thing is real. They drag him over to grass to assess the situation, then he starts grabing for their guns and tazers and is kicking them and what not... so one of the officers there finally tazes the guy and ends the situation...
Now the guy is taking them to court...in the mean time, he requests the police video and his friend puts it on You Tube for sympathy. NICE
Justin was so proud of his fame that I thought I would give a little shout out to my ever so sexy husband... Actually it was weird seeing him on the job...since obviously I never get to be there.

funny story:
Yesterday, The kids and I ran to Walmart to get Justin's present. While getting out of the car I realized that I had left my wallet at home. It was no big deal though because Justin was working and I figured he could just run over and bring me his debit card. So I went in and called on their phone (I had also left my cell phone at home). He didn't answer. So I called again. And again. And again. Then I decided I would walk around the toy aisle to kill time, until he would answer. Then I called again. And again. And again.... So then I decided to go home, because what good is Walmart without money? When I got home I called him again, and he answered! He said that he was arresting some people at WALMART for drugs and theft... HELLO - the whole time he was at WALMART.... On isle 10 in the grocery section waiting for the tow truck to come. Are you freaking kidding me - I took my kids to WalMart for nothing ARRRRRGGGGGGGGGGG. AND HE WAS THERE THE WHOLE TIME - Are you laughing, because I wasn't:(

Update:

So the present I bought him was a gun safe... after getting it home I realized that I didn't have a key for it... so I called WalMart and the intelligent beings there had no idea where it would be, and told me that I should probably return and buy another one. However that was the only one in the entire store. I have to talk to manager on monday to see if he knows where it is, and if not Justin will never get to open his present. Gotta love Wally World.

He Swore

April 23rd, at a city council meeting Justin was sworn in. He was introduced, by his Chief Allinson, and accompanied by his field training officer, Chet Smith. The oath was pretty long and wordy, and Justin botched it pretty good. Oh well, he was cute while doing so...

Officer Zufelt

Watch out bad boys, April 18, Justin Graduated from the Police Academy! Thursday night Kyle, Sydney and I traveled to SLC for the big event. We stayed at hotel with Papa and Lala, went shopping, and kyle swam with Justin. The next morning I attended a class for the Wives, they wanted us to know what the guys had been learning the past few months. Then we attended the graduation which was entirely way to long, but really nice! Justin of course looked incredibly handsome in his uniform, but what do you expect from a hunk like himself! Thanks to all those who attended the graduation, and to all those that were incredibly supportive! We are so happy to have Justin back home, and we are excited for the adventures yet to come! Welcome Home....Again...
