I had the best of intentions to post Sydney's bumps and bruises before now. Thanks for all phone calls, pizza {Megan}, and concern! It really wasn't to bad, thanks to her Guardian Angel. She was hit on the left side of her body, as you can see. Thankfullly her leg wasn't hurt, which was my main concern, hence the ER visit. Oh the joys! Wondering what I have been doing lately?Wiping this nose every 30 seconds... No literally! I have never seen Kyle so sick - ever. This picture does not even do it justice. He slept all but two hours of the day yesterday. It was so sad, however, today he finally took a turn for the better! Poor little guy...Finally!

A place to eat again. My kitchen does not ever get sunlight {something that will be a priority in my next house} I painted the table a super bright yellow, which I love! I am keeping my chairs black, but I am going to install white beadboard on the bottom half of my walls in the kitchen. It will brighten the kitchen even more, making me even happier! I still need to make place mats for the table, and to find some sort of table decor....always a work in progress!

Sydney's room is my favorite of the whole house. I took some pictures of it so you could see how the bench fits in. Gotta love those random finds! The green on the wall is an "oops" paint Justin brought home from Home Depot one day. I loved it and knew it had to be in her room.

Thrift Junkie and Bla Bla Bla

You could sale my house at a Yard Sale! Or maybe my neighbors think I am having a yard Sale. Since I last made my confession I have been bustin' out the paint. Good news: I finished painting the kitchen table, and it's now in use! Well that is of cousrse until today, when I decided that I need to repaint the table top from white to yellow. I forgot to take into consideration that my plates are whilte. It will be soooo cute when it's fixed however. I can't wait to reveal the final product. Anyways, on Friday I brought home the wing back chair, then pulled the table out and have been painting it. Saturday Justin saw a chair at a Yard Sale, so I ran down to check it out. It was sold by the time I got there, but don't worry instead I bought a bench (can't wait for that reveal!) AND while I was there I spoke to the Misses about my table redue, and she said that she had chairs at home that she would be willing to sell! So I brought those bad boys home. A table, 6 chairs, a bench, and a wingback chair all in my front yard throughout the weekend. They must wonder if I am insane!

confessions of a Wing Back Chair

I have a confession to make: I never complete a project. There I said it - now Justin can sleep peacefully tonight. I confess that I love hunting for new projects. I have millions of ideas, good intentions, but just cannot see a project through completion. So today we went "treasure hunting" at DI. {Kyle was confused by this, and kept asking where the treasure was!} I found this chair and immediatly fell in love. Picture this: reupholstered in a fantastic black and white bold print, or some other really cute fabric... After some some massive convincing and swearing up and down that I will finish painting the kitchen table that has been in our garage for months, he conceeded. So guess what I have in my garage {along side the kitchen table, and the night stand, and a pile of wood all waiting to be painted} Com'on it was originally $40 but I talked the manager down to $30! Props to me; however, is that bad trying to save a buck at DI? It's like a church organization for heavens sake - although in my defense, with how much I have donated over the years, I should be allowed to walk out with anything I want for free! Anyways. I need help! I was originally going to try to reupholster it, but after looking at how intricate it is, I am thinking about buying a slip cover. If you have any brilliant ideas please do enlighten me! My goal this month is to complete projects. Although when I finish the table in the garage I will have to sell my current table with the chairs - since it is a set. So then we will have a table but not any chairs. Hence the reason for delaying finishing the table...What a delema.

Always a project

For super saturday, several of us made nativity pillows. I think that they are the cutest idea, and are a great way to help the little ones learn the Christmas story! They are so fun to make, and well worth all the time!

So here is my latest project... Ah ya, this one has a story! Several years ago I made a whole bunch of rag christmas trees. They are adorable and I gave them all away, but never kept a set for myself. This year I decided to make some more... Ya, well the last time I made them I bought the fabric from Walmart (the $2 bin fabric). This year their selection stinks, so I went to Ace Hardware... They had a great selection, and they had a sale. 30% off -wahoo right? Well I got four yards of each and I didn't do the math... I go to the register and $72 later I was peeing my pants. You heard it - 12 yrds = $ 72. So guess what!!!!!! I am now selling the trees at a boutique show in two weeks to pay for the fabric - so my husband doesn't kill me! The fabric is super cute, and I can't wait to see how gorgeous the trees are. I'll post a picture when I am done! Truth be told I have always wanted to put some stuff in a boutique, I just never thought I would be forced into doing so!!
